Question: How many gallons do you make brewing your own beer?
Answer: Our kits and most standard recipes make 5 gallons or 48-52 twelve oz bottles of beer.
Question: Is homebrewing cheaper than buying beer?
Answer: There is no simple answer to that question. What kind of beer do you drink? Do you like light lager beers that you can buy in just about any corner store, or do you like something that’s exotic and hard to find? Maybe you are like me with tastes somewhere in between. I like to try new things and when I make a beer that you can’t buy anywhere else and it was fun to make too. I’m going to spend a little extra money rather than buy another 12-pack of the same old thing. Some beers styles are cheaper to make then to buy. Some beer styles are not. Brew what you like and the rest will fall into place.
